The RO-KA-TECH in Kassel has developed into the leading German environmental trade fair in the area of underground sewage infrastructures. On the one hand, this has been demonstrated by the substantial increase in the number of visitors compared to 2009, and on the other hand, by the considerable rise in exhibitor participation. Sewer canal networks are the most expensive part of the infrastructure there is, and more valuable than all of the streets in the republic put together. The current replacement value of the public sewage system plants (more than 500,000 kilometres) is estimated at about 386 billion Euros; the private sewage pipes (up to 1.5 m. kilometre) may have, at least, the same replacement value as new.
At the RO-KA-TECH 2013 the most up-to-date technology for the cleaning, inspection and decontamination of sewage systems will be presented. The equipment on offer ranges from camera systems for the inspection of sewage networks, to leak-tightness testing equipment, through to equipment for all different procedures of "ditchless" canal decontamination. In addition, locating systems for pipes will be demonstrated. Software will also play an increasingly bigger role in the trade fair range, particularly in the support of inspection operations. Therefore, RO-KA- TECH provides the ideal opportunity for every canal network operator to update his or her technical specialized knowledge.
